Filming set

This device is called a Spider pod, it can be manipulated into different shapes to create different shots

This the way we mounted a Cannon 550D on the pod. The camera was fitted with a auto-stabilising lens.
We used it to create smother panning shots.

For stationary shots we used a Cannon 7D with a 50mm prime lens, on a standard tripod.
The lens allows for great close up shots and extreme close up shots with intense depth of field. We use this for the lip syncing part for this.
We used the light illuminated the area due to it being to dark in the room.

For when Tamsin did the filming;

Tamisn used a Cannon 100D on a tripod which is very similar to the 7D and 550D.

Chosen Target audiences

The target age range is 16-35 year-olds. We chose this because people who like this genre are usually of this age and that the fans of Imagine Dragons are also typically of this age which I found out by researching into the Imagine Dragons fan club pages on various web sites such as Facebook and tumblr. The song's "feel good" tone makes it suitable for a mass audience. The song only achieved no.1 in Portugal but it sold 100,000s in countries all over the world.

Photoshop practice

Some practice I did on Photoshop I preparation for the CD digi-pack.

http://lifehacker.com/5753459/learn-the-basics-of-photoshop-in-under-25-minutes This website helped me find some useful things.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLHWlAm0PiQ I used this video to help make this picture.
We have decided not to use face swapping for the CD digi-pack but the techniques I learnt from the practice can be applied  to other images which might end up using.
Some things I learnt:
- Making sure that both pictures are roughly the same size in pixels (e.g. 1920-1080)
- Image blending: Process where a two images are recoloured and blurred to appear as one.
- Image manipulation: Basic tool that could with some more practice.
-Lasso: A very useful tool which allows you to freely select any part of a picture.
